Sourdough Discard Recipe: Everything Bagel Crackers (5 Ingredients!)

This 5 ingredient sourdough discard cracker recipe works with preferred seasonings and substitutes! Follow me on TikTok, Pinterest, and Lemon8 for more ideas and suggestions.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup of unfed sourdough starter (discard)

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • 1/4 TSP salt (any kind)

  • 1/4 cup of everything bagel seasoning (or whateva ya like)


Prep

  • I recommend preparing all ingredients beforehand!

  • Preheat oven to 350F.

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.


Recipe


Mix the starter, flour, butter, and salt in a large bowl. Mix until a dough forms.



Knead it with your hands until it is smooth and combined.



Cover with a towel or shower cap for 20/30 mins.


Divide the dough in half (or quarters)and roll it out until it is thin and rectangular on parchment paper. The shape is not too important here, but thickness matters! Repeat with the remaining dough.

  1. Brush the top of the dough with olive oil and sprinkle Everything Bagel Seasoning on the top.


    Cut the dough with a pizza cutter (or whateva ya like) into squares and wiggle to make a little room.


    Bake for 15–20 mins, or until edges are golden brown. I like them crispy.
